what to do now: Civil Disobedience for a Disobedient Country May.21.2003
The public relations industry is the man behind the curtain of the media, cooking up all of the stories and directing where the bias should go. A majority of public relations companies have built up a database of public opinion, which helps them create images that match what will affect the public most. These industries are another obstacle that must be removed if we ever want our voices to be heard. So, once again, start small. If you ever are asked to take a survey, be it a telemarketer or clipboard gang at the mall or whatever, don’t turn away. Having no data from you doesn’t hurt the industry; having bad data from you does. Give the most ridiculous and outlandish answers to these people as possible; with any luck, and collective effort, we could undermine the data of the entire public relations industry and make them say foolish things in the paper.
