"... the freest of my neighbors ... cannot spare the protection of the existing government, and they dread the consequences of disobedience to it to their properties and families ... This makes it impossible for a man to live honestly and at the same time comfortably in outward respects ... You must live within yourself."

-- Henry David Thoreau, "Civil Disobedience"

  Richardson

Corporate archivist and articulate author of deep-thinking and thourough articles.

[ Email ]

Chuck Richardson is a former reporter and columnist with Greater Niagara Newspapers, a job he quit because he could no longer sell himself out to corporate headquarters. Chuck is also an experienced poet, having performed his work in Los Angeles and Buffalo throughout the early 1990s. Since then he has had a one act play produced by the Buffalo Ensemble Theatre, TV Land (1997), and won the 1995 George Knight Houpt Prize for literary criticism at SUNY Buffalo, for his essay "An Ecofeminist Reading of Comus by John Milton." Chuck has recently completed Paranoid: A Concept Album of Short Fiction and Visions of the Pure Awakened Land, a collection of poetry, which he hopes to see published. He is currently working as a freelance writer, and his work can be frequently seen on BuffaloReport.com.
