I'd like to say... sorry for the lengthy time since I last updated the front page news. (Been busy)

I'l like to say... welcome to our newest writer for the site. (Algernon)

I'd like to say... a HUGE THANK YOU to my friend Mike in San Francisco who has been keeping the external articles up to date. That has REALLY helped me get back on track a lot. (thanks MarsDaddy-o)

I'd like to say... congratulations to Dr. Niman for having had one of his articles selected as one of the top 10 most underreported stories of 2002. Thanks again for letting us reprint your articles.

I'd like to say... way to go, to another one of our writers, chuck richardson, who now has his own site going. ( http://www.NiagaraBuzz.com )

I'd like to say... Welcome back to all of the college students who read this site from school, welcome to anyone that's new to the site, thanks to everyone who visits the site, and thanks even more if you leave feedback on the articles or in the forums.

Peace.

Okay, I'm going to try to remember all of the upgrades I've made to the website saince the last update:

* I just now added links on the Feedback forum so that now you can see and click on the editorial or report that the message is in response to. And oh by the way thanks very much to anyone who has left feedback on any of our editorials or reports. That really helps inspire us to write more when someone reads and comments on what we've written.

* I upgraded the forums so that the 'Recent Posts' bar along the right column of the website updates as soon as you post now. It used to take a while to refresh itself, now it updates instantly.

* I never formally introduced our two newest Editorialists, Feyler & Wanblee. They've both been writing for the site for months now actually, but they've recently been officially added.

* I added some stuff at the bottom of the about page.

* I finished making the main pages more uniform.

* The pages for each of the Editorialists are now more complete and hooked up to a database so that we can add more info about ourselves.

* I added a new forum for Cut & Paste messages called Paste it Forward. If anything corporate related or environment related shows up in your email and you want to help spread the word about it, that's what the new forum is for.

Okay, I think that's it. Thanks for checking out the site, and please leave some feedback in the forums. Thanks.

I've been updating the graphics and adding new features most of the day today. The graphics are a bit smaller now and should load faster, and they look better. I think they look better anyway.

There's a new Reading List section. So you can get some recommendations on some good books.

The Editorialists section has been way updated and I'll be updating it more tonight. We've had a lot of great Editorials lately and now you can glance down the list and see them all more easily.

A lot of the main pages hadn't been updated in a very long time so I'm trying to bring all of the main pages up to date. So now the site will match a bit better fromm page to page.

Feyler has suggested that I add an index of corporations and so I'll be working on adding data to all of the articles and everything so that I can make a big corporate index and make this site more useful and easier to navigate. I'll be working on a what's new page too once I finish adding date information to everything. Then someday, somehow I'm going to actually find some time to write more editorials. I have a good idea for one now.

Well I have been very busy of late. Ralph Nader is coming to Buffalo and I have made this website to help promote all that is going on for Earth Week here in Buffalo:

www.PeaceOnEarthWeek.com

I have fixed up the gallery section a bit more but there is still a lot of work to be done in there when I get more time. We got permission to display some of the incredibly incredible work of the incredibly talented Matt Wuerker so make sure you check that out.

We have another columnist set to come on board soon with some quality insights.

We've had TWO really great articles from Dr. Michael Niman this week so make sure you've read both.

That's it. Back to work on the Nader thing for me.

If you're in Western New York, please look into the Earth Week Events!

I would also like to remind everyone about Big Business Day 2003. It will be April 5, 2003. Check out Citizen Works for info on this event:

(00S (00S I've started to color code everything on this site so that you can look at the rectangle next to things and see how long ago they were posted. Once I finish getting everything color coded I'll add a what's new link and make it even easier to see what's new on the site.

I made a few minor cosmetic changes to the site today. They should generally be pretty obvious if you've been checking out the site for a while. I've also added a link to the Reports and written a script for it. Now you can read the intro paragraphs and get more info on our reports without having to go to each report.

Now, I'm tired. Got up at 4am and started programming.

Peace. Going to go take a nap now. Oh. And one more thing. I've contacted several people about writing for Corporations-suck. Good, knowledgeable, talented writers to add to the great writers we already have. Can't wait to see what they come up with and get them plugged in to the site.

I've added a few more cosmetic upgrades to the site. The External articles scripts work well now, they are pretty easy to update. I'm working on getting a new Reading secion for recommened books and finally getting the gallery section working. Today there have been a lot of visitors to the site so maybe people are telling their friends about us? I hope so. I hope people are getting something useful from the work that goes into maintaining this place.

I have been writing a lot of code lately, making a lot of upgrades to the site. A lot of things will be automated now which means it will be easier for me to update the site, and so corporations-suck is likely to be updated more often now. I've also found more sources for external articles on all of the twisted crap that corporations do so I'll try to keep the external articles page updated with those.

More importantly, I'd like to welcome our newest writer
BigKidPants to Corporations Suck. All four writers have added something during February so make sure you've read the latest from each. BigKidPants has jumped right in and started disecting the oil and gas markets to reveal that the prices at the pump are based on little more than pure greed.

I also fixed up my message board script a lot. You can link to individual posts now. That feature was broken, but now it works.

Example:
http://www.corporations-suck.com/mb.cgi?bid=talk&pid=000005

Another slight improvement, now you can click on the link that says "Click here to read feedback on this editorial" to read feedback to specific editorials, so please read an editorial and post feedback to help me test that feature.

Thanks,

A most important election is coming up very soon. Israeli citizens will go to the polls to select Amram Mitzna and try working their way back toward peace or reelect Ariel Sharon and continue along the path of bloody war and revenge and escalation. Much of the world stands in opposition to Ariel Sharon and his bloodthirsty policies, but the world doesn't get to vote and Israeli citizens do. Let us hope they have the sense to do the right thing.

And that their votes will actually count (You know, like instead of 'Tie goes to the republican')

Just wanted to say Happy New Year and thanks to everyone for checking out the site.

I also wanted to welcome a new commentator to our CKs Editorialists list. Please take some time to check out the writing of Dr. Niman. He has some very informative articles including recent works on Henry Kissinger and weak Journalism.

Happy New Year. Hope everyone has a productive and prosperous new year. Prosper in all phases of life. Read a book and strengthen your mind. Help your neighbors. Spend some time outside. Eat well. Respect your body. Love life. FIND YOUR POWER.

Happy 2003.

Okay, I cleaned up and expanded this site a bit today. I fixed the recent posts bar along the right side of the site so that it shows correctly. I added a page called external to the site, to direct people to some good articles. I doubt I'll have the time to keep that updated regularly, but maybe. I added more new sites to the links page since I've been wandering across some good links lately. Oh, and I added random quotes at the top so the little white letters at the top don't always say "Don't hate the media. Become the media" now it'll say something at random. Peace be with you.

This website is still just getting underway. Please stop in on one of the message boards and leave some thoughts. Thanks.
