"We pulled the draft files out, We burned them in the parking lot, Better the files than the bodies of children. I had no right but for the love of you...I went to Vietnam, I went for peace, they dropped their bombs, Right where my government knew I would be."

Corporations-Suck.com's report on Rand
The Rand Corporation is the Research and Development center that analyzes everything from child policy to terrorism and national security. Rand Corporation also works with all branches of the US military.
In 1969 the United States was waging war in Vietnam. It was Daniel Ellsberg, the Washington Analyst of Rand Corporation who leaked the government cover-up to the media. He worked on the Top Secret McNamara study of the US Decision-making in Vietnam in the preceding years that dated back to 1945. He was also on the front lines of Vietnam, seeing what it was like first-hand. He read over what is now called The Pentagon Papers, and learned that every president from Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson had attempted to wage a never-ending war, sacrificing both the lives of the Americans and of the Vietnamise. This time, Nixon was going to continue the repeat of this horrible history. Ellsberg went to the press, and leaked out the Pentaon Papers to the NY Times, the Boston Globe and the Washington Post. The government ordered a stop to the printing, saying it violated national security, but in reality, it questioned the legitamacy of the war and violated constitutional rights.
Today, the Rand Corporation's analyst, Laurent Murawiec, is suggesting that the war on terrorism should not be focused on Iraq at all. The research Rand has conducted suggests that the question should instead be focused on Saudi Arabia, since 15 out of 19 of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. There is no justification for a war in Iraq. And, if it is Saudi Arabia that is studied, then it could clearly be seen as a retaliation from the Gulf War. A totally different shift of perception to that of Iraq and our government's reasons for invading them.
There is new information in the media that questions the validity of the pre-emptive war on Iraq. CNN reports that the documents which Bush and Blair submitted to the UN suggesting that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction were fakes. Just as in 1969, the government seems to be attempting to overlook this deceit of the American people, and continue to press the need to justify a war on Iraq.
With the growing awareness of the people of the world, and the pressure on the media to print what is the truth, the government will be forced to continue to put on hold, and finally to end, its terrorism of Iraq, or else violate its position and act in its own interests instead of its people. And, if the US government acts without the approval of the UN, then there will be international law that is violated as well.
